Who Am I

I think of good for everyone I rush to be by the side to anyone I bring a smile on a face that I had hardly known Cared for their living unbeknownst Told to care for the near and dear How would I not if you cared to hear Walked in the dark to get the light Not just for me but for the pride.
I laugh innocently to the small gifts in my life
Support anyone whose life has strife
Ready to share what I have been blessed
With those who are being suppressed.
Happy to be for the breaks I get
Lessen my worries to be freed of debt
Found little happiness in fulfilling my quest
Unless it involved giving people my best.
I enjoy the breeze and the drops of rain
The waves that touch my feet only to drain
The seasons and stars, the moon and the sun
Letting my life to blossom from where it begun
Longed for the laughter and smiles to spread
Where hardship and misery made people’s bed
Hearing my song that soothed those who fled
Robbing the innocence that was widespread
Toiled in dirt and mud with sweat and blood
To give hope to those who lost in the flood
Just to make a difference in people with want
Tired of hearing that they can’t.
