Ella Wheeler Wilcox said-"laugh and the world laughs with you but weep, and you weep alone".

Be it the dictums of fate, God's blessings not sought or given, luck that didn't turn at the right moment, opportunities lost when not noticed, actions that brought misery even with the right intentions- as a human being- one suffers only to be to told it is the karma of the past or current life and it is one's chosen path to mark one's end , be it the destiny or the fruits of one's life toil. Where does God fit in the picture if it is fate or luck. Where does the prayers to heal bring an amicable solution to the person's needs. Is it a delusion or a myth to believe that tough times don't last but tough people do. Can anyone answer to the destitute I care for in an old age home where I volunteer my services.

Many are left with unanswered questions as life events take shape only to find the chips had not fallen on the right place. It is the luck of the draw to find peace and fulfillment one deserves not because they did things right but found themselves in the right place and the right time.

No one in their right mind would ever want to suffer. But there is more misery and wants in this world that no destination is far to reach the shores because of the will power and playing it right by the rules only to find that they are not included to succeed.

You might be in a crowd and still feel lonely. Your experiences are hard to replicate which pushes you to withdraw and be left alone, Where is the society, your family and the people you love when you need most when the sufferings are hard to live with, when tomorrow becomes a burden to wake up to, when all is lost and you tend to be forgotten, because people have lives to live and struggle to keep them going and fight hard not to become the destined child to suffer.

Solitude

BY ELLA WHEELER WILCOX "Laugh, and the world laughs with you; Weep, and you weep alone; For the sad old earth must borrow its mirth, But has trouble enough of its own. Sing, and the hills will answer; Sigh, it is lost on the air; The echoes bound to a joyful sound, But shrink from voicing care.

Rejoice, and men will seek you; Grieve, and they turn and go; They want full measure of all your pleasure, But they do not need your woe. Be glad, and your friends are many; Be sad, and you lose them all,— There are none to decline your nectar-ed wine, But alone you must drink life’s gall.

Feast, and your halls are crowded; Fast, and the world goes by. Succeed and give, and it helps you live, But no man can help you die. There is room in the halls of pleasure For a large and lordly train, But one by one we must all file on Through the narrow aisles of pain."
