My Parents- to whom I am ever grateful for all their blessings they bestowed on me, the third of their four sons they gave to this world to brighten it. Thank you Mom and Dad.
The smile on their face, the pride in them Lived long enough as their first newborn was a gem until the next and next and next came into existence Began to realize what life would have been if they practiced abstinence
Sacrifice is what they thought A word that resonated which they easily bought Only to find what it really meant Experiences that resulted because they were intransigent. Now that they had four instead of one Life had to move on and beat failures as foregone it called for sleepless nights and worrisome days As no child could be viewed as castaways Nor they could take a breather as layaways. It is now and here No time to err Sharing times with laughter and tears As children grew without any fears Shuttling between the four in need Prioritizing and forgetting how they were unfreed They found a pleasure even in pain Believed life was foreordained Sweat and toil a everyday bearing not nearly enough to be dumbfounding Perseverance and determination is what they believed As destiny unfolded felt so relieved All four children made their mark Even the third they thought would de-mark where successes end and failures begin Disappointment that brought joy in the end. Now they are old waiting for a call From the Maker in heaven as the day ends in nightfall Satisfied and content of the life they were blessed Hopeful and smiling as their children messed with the children of their own to become the best Recognizing their endurance and the grit of their will All four children thanked them for their goodwill. ~Kripa
