Not Mocking At The Righteous People

In The Karate Kid 2 (1986), Mr Miyagi tells his young student, "Daniel-san, never put passion before principle. Even if you win, you lose!"

I often get into arguments with my friends because I give importance to emotions and vulnerabilities as I believe that Mankind is blessed to express and make one understand of one’s true feelings. Some of my friends I believe sincerely have spent a lot of time in their faith and followed it to the core to become enlightened. But sometimes I fail to understand that if they are self realized, why become judgmental. Why should it be my way or the highway. I don’t disagree with their understanding of life and realization of what their birth means to them. Sages show us the path but never talk about their experience because it is personal. No two persons’ life can imitate nor can their experiences be the same. “An efficient way to ensure that bhakti remains in its pristine state is to keep it within; to keep it at a personal level and avoid preaching or proselytisation. Let us neither disrespect someone who has a certain belief nor force a certain belief down another's throat. If we can steer clear of these two propensities, we can reach a state of peace and tolerance between the different belief systems in the world”.

I have received comments in some of my postings on FB, where the weakness in my state of emotional turmoil, appeared, I really mean looked like to be mocking at my distress for I didn’t cross the stage of life’s purpose and get close to Nirvana, having still been struggling and not making efforts of voiding the attachments, which I am not ashamed of to expose. James 2:16-17 “And one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead”. Is it because that those who believe and have attained a state of consciousness about their life purpose feel that it is their duty and right to correct someone/anyone without basically trying to understand what their mission and destiny could be as they don’t see or know of the various paths God laid out for the human beings to come to Him/Her.

I have come to believe and understand through my limited exposure that service to humankind is a way to serve God and all my weaknesses as exposed to God doesn’t bring me down even by a notch as His/Her eyes, only espouse kindness, affection and love and all my sins are forgiven as my soul rests on the Almighty’s lap. "Engage yourselves in service activity. Consider social service as service to God. This is the best way to earn God's Love. Love all and serve all. Your entire life will be sanctified thereby." - Sathya Sai Baba
