Gods Must Be Crazy

I was talking to my friend about the 1980 hit movie, Gods Must Be Crazy. We laughed still remembering some of the scenes. As I was ready to retire to bed, a brainwave to record my two cents. And sure I did, typing on FB, direct without attempting on Google Drive first, and reading it the next morning of how it sounded which is usually what I do before I post. Taking a chance on one lengthy paragraph, I thought what could possibly go wrong. But sure it did when I posted, "God and Mind- Difficult to fathom".
“Kalahari bushman Xi (played by genuine bushman N!xau) is as surprised as the rest of his tribe when a Coke bottle, thrown from a passing plane, lands in the middle of their village. This "gift from the gods" proves to be a mixed blessing when the tribesmen fight over it and eventually use it for a weapon. To keep peace in the village, Xi is assigned to take the bottle to "the end of the earth" (actually a lush valley) and throw it back to the gods”- this is the gist of the story about Gods Must Be Crazy.
What I posted ended up like the coke bottle. Saw the comments to my post and the personal messages through messenger. My gut reaction was to hide under the cot. What the heck did I do to these wonderful friends of mine. I took them on a spiritual, faith based journey to educate me when all that I wanted to do was sound crazy, after effects of a conversation with my friend. It generated in depth understanding of who you are, that your problems are an outcome of your own, how one’s conscience dogs you if you are not making the right choices.
I am laughing as I am writing as I found friends from three different religions coming together and taking it upon themselves to clear my maya and ignorance.
My christian friend wrote-
Our lives we cut on a curious plan
Shaping it as it were for man
But God with better art than we
Shapes them for eternity.
My Hindu friend wrote-
People suffer because they have all kinds of unreasonable desires and they pine to fulfil them and they fail. They attach too much value to the objective world. It is only when attachment increases that you suffer pain and grief. Attachment to Nature has limits, but the attachment you develop to the Lord when your inner eye opens, has no limit. Enjoy that reality, not this false picture. (Divine Discourse, 2 Feb 1958)

My Muslim friend quoted from Quran-
Real happiness and peace can be found in submitting to the commands of the Creator and the Sustainer of this world. God has said in the Quran: Truly in remembering God do hearts find rest.- Quran 13:28.
As stupid as I would have sounded in my previous post, it did have some unintended consequences bringing together three religions and spirituality. All that I wanted to say then and now is “Gods Must Be Crazy” to make this world spin the way people wanted to spin. I appreciate the wisdom of my friends who really took pains to set me up in the right path and thanks.
